Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman has been a gymnast from the US for over ten seasons. She was part, and captain, of both the US Olympic women's gymnastics team Fierce Five (2012) and Final Five (2016). Aly Raisman won three gold medals at the 2012 Olympics which took place in London. Additionally, she brought home a bronze medal on the balance beam. In 2012, she became the first American athlete to earn the most number of medals in the Olympics. The gold medal was hers in the team competition during the 2016 Olympics and also made her and Gabby Douglas the first Americans to have back-to-back golds. Additionally, she was awarded silver medals in both the all-around individual and floor exercise. She took a break of three years between each Olympics from gymnastics competition. The gold medal she won for the American team also took home the two World Championships. As a young girl She began learning gymnastics. The sport she loves the most is floor exercises. Aly is a member of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization in memory of her grandmother who died due to cancer. She plans to pursue the profession of a fashion designer. Her future goals include expanding her trademark line of leotards. Fierce will be published later this summer.
